Dandara Living was pleased to have sponsored this year’s Frogmoor Stage at the High Wycombe Christmas Lights Festival, and donated to local food bank, the One Can Trust, as part of our ongoing plans to support local causes in the area.
The switch-on ceremony, which took place on 18th November, saw local residents attend to enjoy live performances from over 15 different groups. The celebrations were led by Mayor of High Wycombe, Paul Turner, alongside The Swan Theatre’s leading lady, Suzanne Shaw.
Speaking about the event, Zoe Sharpe, Senior Development Manager at Dandara Living said:
“When we were approached by HWBidCo to support the Christmas Lights Festival, we were very happy to help. This wonderful festive event offered a great opportunity to work closely with the High Wycombe community and contribute to the local area. This is only a small part of our wider efforts to support initiatives in the town, including Chiltern Rangers, and One Can Trust, High Wycombe’s local food bank.”

Personnel at Dandara Living’s offices have been donating much-needed items to One Can Trust since the start of October, with all donations matched by the company. The first of several deliveries contained 160 items donated to the food bank, as part of fundraising efforts for the charity.
Jo Belshaw, Operations Manager at One Can Trust:
“The food bank currently provides emergency food parcels to 650 people per week across South Bucks. In addition, the charity has a Community Support team that signposts clients to further support, runs client toddler groups and a clothes bank for anyone who is finding it hard to make ends meet. In addition, the Food Programmes team offers cookery lessons as well as supper clubs and a new programme whereby children who don’t qualify for free school meals but are living poverty, are able to benefit from a free breakfast or lunch at school."
“The charity is here to help anyone in the community for as long as we need to. We are enormously grateful for all support, whether that be food donations, volunteer support or monetary donations to enable us to maintain our vital service.”
Jo Belshaw, One Can Trust
We are looking forward to being involved with additional local events and initiatives in the coming months, including the second Ranger Day with Chiltern Rangers, which will see volunteers from Dandara Living and the wider community helping to restore the landscaping around All Saints Church.
