Low-Carbon Logistics Hub Launched in Bristol to support Stafford Yard development.

Situated on a former brownfield site within the Bedminster Green Framework Area just one mile south of Bristol city centre and Temple Meads train station, Stafford Yard is a development of 295 apartments in a prime location within this rapidly developing neighbourhood.
Over the past year there has been incredible progress on the site. Works are on schedule and the concrete superstructure, which is 15 storeys at its highest point, was completed in late September, and we also opened our new Low-Carbon Logistics Hub (LCLH) adjacent to Temple Meads Station – a key location for heavy goods vehicles entering central Bristol.
Instead of delivering direct to the site, these larger vehicles deliver good and materials to the LCLH, which are then loaded onto our electric delivery vans by an electric telehandler and delivered to Stafford Yard. This not only significantly reduces traffic movements within the city centre and Bedminster Green, but also allows for waste from the site to be brought back to the LCLH on the return journey for recycling, significantly reducing Stafford Yard’s construction carbon footprint.
