Additional dates have been added to the interactive art display at Chapel Wharf, created by Manchester-based designer Tim Denton.
Dandara Living
Titled ‘Creating Communities’, the live art display, sees Tim, creating socially distanced portraits of the people of Manchester using a giant pantograph which allows him to create the hand drawn works.
All portraits will be displayed at Chapel Wharf for the duration of the project and those taking part can take a picture of Tim and their finished artwork.
The extension of Creating Communities will be a great thing for people to look forward to as we come out of this second lockdown. We have already seen a really positive response to people who have seen the installation and we look forward to creating more portraits of the people of Manchester as part of this collaboration with Dandara Living.

Those following the 50 Windows of Creativity trail can now visit the ‘Creating Communities’ installation at Chapel Wharf on Chapel Street for an extra two weekends in December.
Vicky Robinson, City Operations Manager at Chapel Wharf, said: “The team have loved working with Tim and the people following the 50 Windows trail so far. The project brings together family connections and friendships in an interactive way and I think this will be provide some very welcome light relief when we re-launch it at Chapel Wharf in the coming weeks.”
Tim and his team will be on hand to draw the people of Manchester for the first two weeks of December (5th to 6th and 12th to 13th) between 9:00am to 6:00pm on Saturdays and 12:00pm and 6:00pm on Sundays.
